Convert bank statements without uploading them anywhere
Most online statement converters ask you to upload the PDF to their servers, where it may be processed by AI models, stored for a while, or handled by subprocessors you have never heard of. For a document that contains your account number, income and spending, that is a lot of trust.
StatementLocal works differently. The PDF engine and the parser are part of the web page itself, so your statement is read inside your browser tab and the CSV or Excel file is created on your device. Nothing about the statement is sent to us.
Try it on your own statement. Free: 1 file per day, CSV & Excel export, nothing uploaded.
Open the free converterHow to do it
- Open the converter and let the page finish loading.
- Optional: switch off Wi-Fi or turn on airplane mode to prove nothing is uploaded.
- Drop your PDF statement. It is parsed locally and checked against the running balance.
- Export CSV or Excel. The file is saved straight from your browser to your device.
What columns you get
Every export, CSV or Excel, has the same columns, so your templates and import mappings keep working from month to month:
| Column | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Date | Transaction date (YYYY-MM-DD in CSV, a real date cell in Excel). The year is inferred from the statement period, including December–January rollovers. |
| Description | The transaction text, with multi-line descriptions joined into one cell. |
| Amount | One signed number: money in positive, money out negative. |
| Debit / Credit | The same amount split into money-out and money-in columns. |
| Balance | The running balance, when the statement prints one. |
| Source File | Which PDF the row came from, useful when merging several statements. |
| Check | OK when the row reconciles with the running balance, or a MISMATCH note to review. |
Tips for a clean result
- The page's Content-Security-Policy only allows network requests back to statementlocal.org (connect-src 'self'), and the converter itself makes none. You can confirm this in your browser's developer tools, in the Network tab.
- There is no AI involved: conversion is deterministic code, so no statement text is sent to a model provider.
- We use no analytics, ad trackers or cookies. Only your plan status and the daily free-file counter are stored in your browser's local storage.
- The only server calls are for checkout and unlocking Pro, and they never include statement data.
Private by design
The PDF is opened by JavaScript inside your browser tab and never uploaded. No AI is involved: parsing is deterministic, so the same PDF always gives the same result. Scanned (image-only) PDFs aren't supported yet. Read more in the privacy guide or the Privacy Policy.
Pricing: the free plan converts 1 file per day. Pro ($9/month or $59/year) and the one-time 30-Day Pass ($19) unlock unlimited files and batch merging. See plans.

Convert a statement nowFAQ
How can I be sure my statement isn't uploaded?
Load the page, go offline, and convert a statement: it still works. You can also watch the Network tab in your browser's developer tools while converting.
Does it work offline after the first visit?
Yes. The site uses a service worker to cache the converter, so it can open and run without a connection once it has been loaded.
Do you store my converted data?
No. The CSV or Excel file is generated in your browser and saved to your device. We never receive it.
Who processes payments?
Creem, our Merchant of Record. Payment details go to Creem, never to us, and checkout never involves your statements.
